While Bunji Garlin may have been a bit busy today. checking out his new video and of course, the comments from fans and critics, Nigel Rojas, the musician who delivered a scintillating musical piece that made the 2013 Carnival hit single unique, was at Flair restaurant on Ariapita Avenue, Trinidad where Digicel launched its new, affordable android powered smart phone- the DL600.
Digicel’s Penny Gomez picks a media name. That person walked away with a new DL600.
From 11am today, the media got a sneak peak of the device which is being marketed to the 16-24 year olds. The phone boasts a 3.5 inch display, Android OS jellybean 4.1 operating system, a 1Ghz processor and a fresh, modern design.
The phone which comes in black and white is being sold at $499 pre paid and with a plan, customers will benefit tremendously, according to the carrier- as it’s FREE!
Nigel Rojas of Orange Sky kept the audience entertained at Flair.
There’s a lot to the economical device however while at Flair, we just couldn’t get our eyes off Nigel Rojas- this as he strummed away on his guitar, showing a level of musicianship that made us understand just why he was chosen by Bunji Garlin for the carnival anthem.
Oh! And did we mention that comedian and radio host, Nicki Crosby won herself a DL600! Yes she did and she made quite a big deal of her winning moment saying aloud, “and nobody ain’t help meh!” to much laughter.
Digicel says the new smartphone is all about bringing the amazing Android experience to as many people as possible, adding that this phone is all about accessibility, style and affordability.
